Image : http://www.flickr.com

Sometimes, when the high-tech meets the average consumer to communicate is often as two different languages. You could have a flat screen 46 inch LCD HDTV 720p is absolutely love but have no idea why the $ $ 400 cheaper than the brand 46-inch LCD 1080p HDTV itself next door. If your TV has the same size, but if you get the picture shows the difference occurred. So give a brief summary of key terms when shopping for the nextplate.

LCD – Liquid Crystal Display: a display method did in 1960, when the orientation of the rod-shaped molecules (liquid like) light curve is like a crystal. So if you change direction of these filters will determine how you will eventually seeing the light through the crystals. LCD is not new, but the technology is still there and in use. You can also use a liquid crystal display used in computer monitors. They offer a very clean image and that is what most dishesTV is today.

HDTV – High Definition Television: The highest form of digital television can receive. You might think that if you're watching a movie at the cinema with its 16:9 aspect ratio. HDTV is the resolution that you can have, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. For you based on benchmarks, traditional TV has 480 lines. Lines to determine how good resolution you. We also have the "i" and "p" after thenumber of lines used for a photo. These are "interlaced" and "progressive." Remember that progressive scan is more desirable because it processes images twice as fast as interlaced scanning. Both for you is to create a better brightness and color. Also keep in mind that these assessments are considered most important on the flat screens over 32 inches. So if you buy 46-inch 1080p LCD HDTV you wantKeep this in mind.

Samsung UN32C5000 32-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV (Black) CustomerReview

I was at first torn between this Samsung, which is nice and thin but only 60 hertz, and other thicker sets in the same price range which are 120 hertz. I’m glad we decided on this thin Samsung. It is gorgeous, and for us the beauty of the TV set outweighs any subtle improvement in motion scenes obtained by 120 hertz.

I agree with previous reviewers that the screen is glossy, and you can see reflections under certain lighting conditions when the scene is dark. But this doesn’t change the fact that the picture is beautiful. If we are trying to watch TV in the daytime, we sometimes have to pull the shades to avoid seeing the reflection of our windows on the TV screen. If you are worried about this, I suggest testing the area where the TV will be by placing a mirror there. Sit where you normally sit to watch TV and see if there is a reflection of a bright light source such as windows in the mirror. If so, you will probably have to eliminate the light in order to watch the TV without distraction. I’m not convinced other new TVs are much better on the reflection issue.

I don’t agree that the screen causes motion sickness. Perhaps that reviewer had selected a setting that we didn’t. In general, we left all enhancement settings off.

I am using the TV as a monitor for a recent model Mac Mini. In addition, we have a Playstation 3. Our receiver is old and does not accept HDMI, so we are using the Samsung TV to switch between HDMI sources, and using the optical out on the TV to get the sound to the receiver. This setup works great, and the TV makes a terrific computer monitor. However, make sure you turn off the Samsung TV’s edge enhancement feature if using this as a computer monitor. Edge enhancement makes computer text and graphics look exceptionally bad, and it was a relief to discover that turning this feature off fixes the problem.

When we’re watching news, the TV’s speakers are great. When we watch a movie, we switch on the receiver for better sound.

It took a while to sort out how to get HDMI output from the mac mini. We first tried the Monoprice Mini Displayport Male and USB Male Audio to HDMI Female Converting Adapter, but the TV gave an error message and did not show a picture. We returned the Monoprice Mini Display Port and purchased the more expensive Kanex iAdapt 51 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI with 5.1 Channel Digital Audio, which works great but required rebooting the mac in order to get the correct resolution.

We don’t use the Samsung’s built-in tuner, so I can’t review that. We watch using EyeTV for the Mac.

The user interface of the TV is easy to use. The remote is thoughtfully laid out, but the touch sensitive controls on the front of the TV are hard to operate because you have to get your face right next to them to see where to touch. On the other hand, the fact that you can’t see these controls makes the TV more beautiful.

I wish Samsung had allowed users to program completely custom names for the sources. As it is, you can select from a preprogrammed group with names like “PC,” “Game,” etc. (I wanted “Mac Mini” and “Playstation 3″). Also, it would be nice to disable source inputs that you are not using, so that the TV will only switch between sources you are hooked up to. A feature like this would make it easier for guests and grandparents to operate the TV with minimal hassle.

I agree with another reviewer that the screw holes for the wall bracket are not the same as for most TVs, and if you want to use a full-motion mount you will have to spend some time finding the right screws at the hardware store. In our case, our wall mount had 100mm screw spacing, and the TV has 200mm screw spacing, so we purchased the LCD Adapter Plate. We purchased four M8 x 25 bolts with 1.25 pitch at our hardware store, plus four thick washers. We had to drill out the holes on the LCD Adapter Plate to accept the M8 size bolts (it was set up for M6), which was easy to do with a cordless drill and the right bit. We also used the four gray spacer sleeves that came with the TV, which prevented the Adapter Plate from blocking one of the TV’s cooling vents. This setup took some work, but it looks and works great. It would have been nice if Samsung had either standardized the mounting holes or provided the necessary adapter hardware in the box.

Sony Bravia L-Series KDL-32L4000 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV CustomerReview

First of all, this TV DOES display 1080p images. It may be marketed as a 720p, but the manufacturer forgot to block the “display” setting from telling you what kind of image is showing, which ranges from NTSC to 1080p. Just press the “display” button in the remote. So having said that, THIS TV IS AMAZING FOR THE PRICE. Thanks Sony.

I like this tv a lot. The picture quality is amazing when connected to my playstation 3. It still surprises me after a year of having it, since its almost like looking through a window into the games or movies.
Games such as Bioshock, Dead Space, Dirt and movies such as Wall-e and the Watchmen look incredible. Regular NTSC channels look like crap, since the tv enhances the detail so much you have to make some adjustments to “tone it down”.
You go to the “sharpness” and “noise” settings and adjust them. They won’t adjust themselves. I put the sharpness to the lowest and noise setting to its highest and NTSC channels look fine.

It has 3 preset-adjustable picture settings: vivid, custom and standard.

The speakers deliver crisp sound, but obviously they don’t have a bass punch. You will need to connect a separate set of speakers for powerful bass, but the tv’s are powerful enough for a room and they volume is loud at 30 where I usually have it. It goes up to a 100 but I’ve never used it once, don’t need to.

It has an optical-out connection that you can connect to a theater sound system for crisp digital signal.
I don’t know what the big deal with the black colors is, if they wash out or not. They’re just black, and if you want blacker just adjust the brightness and the backlight settings. simple.
I did notice that the backlight leaks a little at the higher right corner when the screen is black, but is not a huge problem. You can adjust it.

I do have a problem with not being able to discard all the analog channels, and just keep the digital ones. You can’t discard any channel for that matter, and they’re all programmed together.
The favorist list is pretty bad too. You can favorite 10 channels, but you can’t organize them or delete the ones you already added. You just sort of push them off the bottom of the list with a new channel which is pretty time consuming and stupid.

It has 2 HDMI inputs, and about 3 analog video inputs. 1 pc input which I haven’t used.

This TV doesn’t have many features, aside from adjusting the colors. But again, its a Sony, and the picture quality is great. If people want many secondary features, they probable should pay double the price and get the more expensive Sony.
I have yet to have a sony product break on me, and this tv will probably last several years, hopefuly.

With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

LG 32LD550 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV CustomerReview

Had this set for about 2 weeks and could not be happier. Everything stated about the quality, ease of use and features were right on. Network setup was a breeze, updated the software automatically and I was on the internet and Netflix. The only problem I had was with the wall mount. Sounded simple, look for a 32″ compatible mount. However, went to the specs at LG, found the VESA mount size listed as 400 X 600. Sounded a bit large, but ordered a mount that would expand to this size at the same time I ordered the TV. It arrived, and the VESA in the instruction manual matched the actual on the TV- 100 x 200. I wish I had waited until the unit arrived before ordering that mount. On the bright side, if I ever upgrade to a 60″ TV, I won’t have to change the mount!!

SOYO SYTPT3227AB 32-Inch LCD HDTV CustomerReview

Have had this TV for about 3 years now, and it was one of the best deals I’ve ever found. I did a lot of research, and this model had everything I needed (at the time) at an unbelievable price compared to other brands with the same specs. The picture quality if wonderful, especially the HD channels on my cable. Every time I’m in a store with HDTVs on display, none of them seem to compare to the great picture I get on my Soyo.

However, I’ve just purchased a PS3, mainly for the Blu-ray player, and realized I wasn’t getting full resolution because the TV resolution goes to 1080i only, but full Blu-ray needs 1080p. I had bookmarked a review from 2006 saying there was really no reason to buy 1080p at that time, and I took that advise. That’s no longer the case.

If you don’t care about Blu-ray (the TV does an amazing job with regular DVDs), then this is probably still a great deal.

As another reviewer mentioned, this model had an update somewhere along the way. Mine is the older model with just one HDMI input, so perhaps they’ve updated to provide 1080p resolution.

With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

Minimum size = Viewing distance/3

Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

I bought Sharp Aquos LC42D65U 42 inch 1080p LCD HDTV The two weeks before Christmas, on a strict budget discipline. (Money for my wife), I work in AV industry (commercial design and installation) and I was tired of working with material that was far from my budget. I worked with the "version 52, it really looks good. The picture on the Sharp Aquos LC42D65U 42" is very strong.

The entries are more than enough. Even allowing for RS232 and USB port for softwareUpdates. HDMI is the Wazoo. All entries are in a very accessible. Including the TV button on the right side of the ring. The "frame" bezel photos, rocks! I hate to see a big, bright, distracting bezel, which is very common in rural areas Panal. And 'difficult with fine lines. Very professional looking. Why not a nice TV for the picture quality of this game?

However, I was particularly concerned about most other AQUOS models are 120Hz.Blu-Ray and games are my priority in the final decision on what to buy. The standard for Blu-Ray is 1080p/24Hz. You're completely covered! refresh Killer! Great performance! Especially when used with an AQUOS Blu-ray. Oh, yes, I said the combination will not only work together (via "Aquos Link"), but is also one of the cheapest Blu-ray 1080p 975,00 $ 200.00 combo. I got what I wanted, and not "regular." The absence of the fifth star in my opinion, was the noise. Kindastinks. Well, not so bad that I would not recommend it to anyone. Usually, all speakers flat panel that smell. I love this Sharp Aquos LC42D65U TV independently. Wold recommend it to everyone.

Sharp Aquos LC42D65U 42 inch 1080p LCD HDTV Feature

The AQUOS LC42D65U sets a new standard for large-screen flat-screen TV. With Full HD 1080p resolution and an elegant new design, it produces a breathtaking image quality that is unmatched. The LC42D65U utilizes Sharpfranchise Advanced Super View / Black TFT Panel with Spectral Contrast Engine, providing high Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 6ms response time and wide viewing angle (176-H x 176? Q). The LC42D65U has HDTV with ATSC / QAM NTSC tuners and include 5 HDMI? inputs, compatible with 1080p signals, and 2 HD 1080p component video inputs. The LC42D65U features a piano black cabinet with subtle recessed bottom speakers. The base is easily removed for wall mountingapplications.

Balance

In reviewing the budget should not only think about television, but all other elements, such as a home theater with surround sound, no special comment control, lighting requirements, automatic curtains, etc.. There is a big difference between putting a TV in the bedroom and understanding to build a home theater.

Size

This is an example where bigger is not always better! The television can be too lowThe use or too large for your space. There will be an optimum range, depending on where you plan on television and are expected to organize.

Size and budget are probably the two most important criteria when buying an HDTV. These two criteria significantly narrow the selection before the technology or the use of criteria.

The intended use

You should think about what you use for your television. Want to see a lot of sports;maybe movies or video games, perhaps? Different types of HDTV better with certain types of content. For example, people who watch the days on the same channel can be considered to avoid plasma after depletion effects. Guests can also find a large DLP projection system is perfectly suited to their needs.

Connections

If you have a good quality audio-visual equipment that can determine which type of interfaces and the ports you need on yourHDTV, and if the model you buy. Also check all the connections available, including HDMI, S-Video, SCART, digital audio, VGA and DVI.

Additional Features

Can be easily influenced by unnecessary elements. Do not forget that in many implementations, it may not be able to use everything. For example, if the signals on a connection that might not be able to use this picture for the photo feature.
